With the new CORE Choice 7, CORE takes its performance twintip to the next level. The Choice's recipe for success remains, but it has been consistently refined in all the right places. The result: more pop, less weight, and even more control – exactly what ambitious big-air and freestyle riders are looking for.
The biggest innovation is the TRIAX carbon construction. Thanks to the new carbon layup, the board reacts much more directly, builds up more rebound, and provides an explosive pop on takeoff. Whether it’s high big-air jumps or technical freestyle moves, the Choice 7 delivers plenty of energy at just the right moment.
Also new is the Unibody Edge Light construction. This involves fully encasing the lightweight Paulownia wood core in carbon before the rails are mounted. This closed torsion box increases the board's stiffness, improves rebound, and makes the Choice 7 about 200 grams lighter than its predecessor. You can feel this immediately in the ride quality and agility.
The bottom has also been further optimized. The proven Multi-Channel Bottom, together with the rail channels and angled fins, ensures a tremendous amount of grip, high speed, and a clean, controlled release on takeoff. Even in choppy water, control and comfortable landings are maintained.
The VEE rocker line has also been retuned, making the board react even faster and ensuring a harmonious feel between speed, control, and explosive takeoff.
Particularly interesting: Each board size has been individually tuned. While the 134, 136, and 138 cm sizes are uncompromisingly designed for big air with maximum edge grip and pop, the 140 and 142 cm sizes are also more geared toward freestyle riders, offering a slightly stiffer flex and an adapted outline.
